Carlisle :(
I replaced my china bombs last summer with Carlisles. Researched like crazy and went with the best tires I could find out of the limited 13" choices.
Glanced at the trailer on my way to work this morning and saw this...
I went to a higher load range, but don't run heavy anyhow. Always check my pressure regularly. Don't go too fast.
In total, these probably have 5000km on them! 3000km just last month. Date code is 2117.
What?

That can happen with any tire good you found it before it blowout. I'm a real fan of Carlisles and run them on my car hauler with heavy loads with no problems (fingers crossed)

I'd still stick with the Carlisles. Probably a fluke, of possibly damage from a pothole / curb that any tire could get.

When that tire is removed from the wheel, ask to inspect it. That can be caused by a damaged bead area allowing air to get inside the tire sidewall. Sometimes this happens during installation and doesn’t show up for a while.

And find out if there is a warranty (I'm sure there is one). I had Carlisle on my TT for 5 years and I don't know how many miles and trips. I only had one flat, and it was due to a nail. On my 5th wheel, I have Maxxis, but yeah, I don't know if they make them in 13".

It should be covered under warranty. My confidence was just a bit shaken but you guys have made me feel a bit better. I’ll give Carlisle another shot!

Installed Carlisle trail hd tires 13" last spring. Towed 10,000 miles by fourth of July.
No problems at all.
Very happy with them.

I just noticed today that on my build sheet, the tire are listed as 175/80R13 and on my sticker, it says 185/80R13.
Does it matter?

The size matters in how it affects the load rating. A narrower tire MAY not have the same rating.
Although it may be very close.

Thanks! Apparently I read the sticker, not the sheet, when I picked the size, so they are 185’s on her now.
They are as heavy duty (with regards to load range and speed rating) as I could get in that size, so I will just call it a fluke, replace with the same, and move forward [emoji4]
