picker, I hope you realize that none of my replies are directed at you or your query, but at the companies that would allow questionable equipment and material to be used on something like an rv, where people's safety is of concern.
Seems like almost all of you trailer owners are in the same boat when it comes to decent, quality, safe tires. Thankfully, we motor home owners are in a little better shape as the tires that are supplied with the rigs are of known brands and quality.
None of my replies or humor was directed at you.

So it is a house brand of lions head. Seems like they sell a tire with one brand name till it gets a bad reputation then they change the mold so it has a different name on the side.

There is another thread in this same site about someone having trouble with a tire brand called Constancy Tires. Also China made, and also having problems.
Again, it's a shame you trailer owners are put in the position of having to constantly monitor a brand new trailer/tires.
Personally, if I were in the op's shoes, I would demand that some quality rubber was on that trailer before it left the lot.
Go back and read older posts and you'll find that the majority of tire problems, of which there seem to be a lot, are related to sub-standard imports.
Thankfully we mh owners have many more choices when it comes to quality tires, and manufacturers that stand behind their product. Case in point, the Michelin recall involving class c tires. A hundred or so had failures, so Michelin recalled over a million tires, 7 of which were mine.
Like to see Castle Rock or Constancy Tires do that.

Someone on the other thread posted that if you want to buy a quantity of 3000 tires from this one China manufacturer, they'll put any name you want on it, like
HAPPY VIBE'S ST RV and ATV MUDDER TIRES

This is the Same issue we went thru when I Posted about the Corvette Tires on TT. They had a very different tread pattern and the NAME on the sidewall was LIONSHEAD! I ask the Lionshead Vender at the Goshen Rally about the Corvette Tires and they knew EXactly what I was talking about, and said they have Dropped those from the RV ST line! Like said on here Order 3000 Tires and we can have TURBs TIRES made and sold on FRF! Youroo!!

I'm, also, skeptical and have never heard of them. On my Trailer Express tires, in small print near the rim, it says, "Made in China"...I can't zoom in close enough on the pics to see on your pics. (But my TE's are holding up pretty good...no issues after one year of use. Well, I did have issues on 3 of them as they came with el cheapo rubber valve stems and I just brought them to Discount Tires and had nice metal ones installed.)

Good luck!

And there are many people that have not had issues. There just seems to be an inconsistency to the build quality.

Just as an aside, Lion's Head web site looks like it was built by a 12 year old. That alone would be enough make me run the other direction.

Yes and I searched around for something about warranty and the only thing I found was a multi-page doc with instructions on how to submit a claim....but NOTHING on exactly what warranty comes with them.

Castle Rock Tires

If you can get the DOT number from one of the tires you can search manufacturer via a DOT search. Try this link.

That's not fair. Many 12 year olds are pretty tech savvy these days and would likely run circles around most of us as regards website design.

OK, change that to "non-tech savvy 12 year old". It adds even more emphasis to the point. Thanks for the clarification.

Re quality trailer tires...... Just upgraded to Goodyear marathons up one load range from Westlake brand so called China bombs that came with unit. Goodyear marathons are made in China as are most every ST tire I can find. Just hoping these are better China bombs than I swapped off. If nothing else they have a little extra load capacity than my trailer needs.... Unlike the originals that were totally maxed out on load. Stressing the tires less may provide peace of mind. Or maybe I just wasted $600

I doubt you wasted your money. I would expect that Goodyear is having the tires manufactured to their specifications regardless of where they're made as they have an interest in quality because their name is on the tire. However, the other "no name" brands are probably built to minimum spec.
