Before I did too much digging I would call a couple of larger local tire shops and ask them what they know about the brand. They may be of assistance.

Funny that you brought that up. Just got back from having lunch with a friend. Stopped off at a local tire shop here, Evers Tire, great place and service and well respected in this area.
Never heard of Castle Rock Tires. Thought the same, that it was an import that was "branded" with a name. Said they would try and find out info for me. As I'm a customer of their's they're going to try when time available.
If you go to the DOT Tire Plant site, you'll see hundreds of manufacturers in just about every country that has electricity. Seem that anyone who can glue two rubber bands togather can call it a tire.
How about a Dunlop tire made in Zimbabwe!!!

Just wondering. Do the tires come with the frame and who makes the frame. That may be a hint who to blame for cheap tires.

Your tires are imported by Lion's Head tire and wheel. If you google their name you will get there web site and yes Castle Rock tires are made in China. All FR brands except for Prime Time use the Lion's Head tires and wheels now.

In the back of my ever thinking widdle brain, I'm imagining some little tire company, in some little village in some mountain area of China where they get their electricity via a water wheel and a generator from a 56 Pontiac cranking out tires for the USA market.
WOW!!! Kinda scares you, don't it...
OK, Lions Head Tires. Now, there's a popular brand! Sounds like something I might find on a wheel barrow!
