I am getting new tires for my trailer. I will be ordering them on-line. Do not feel comfortable trailering anywhere because 1 tire blow just sitting there over winter, so will need to take the old tires off and take them somewhere to have mounted and balanced.
What is the best way to do this? Can I pull trailer up on some 2x6, and change out 1 tire on both sides at same time? Jack up 1 side, put jacks under, and change both on that side?
The (Safe) way for you is build a ramp constructed of (2x8) wood blocks. Screw & glue the stair step pieces together. The end result will look like a (Trailer-Aid).Do one tire at a time. Tow vehicle must be connected at all times! The ramp will be needed for (Brake & Bearing) repair in the future also,I loan ours to friends also! Youroo!! I used a trailer-aid and took one off and relaxed it with the spare then drove the trailer off the trailer-aid then put it back up on the spare, that allowed me to take the other wheel off and let me just make two trips for tire change.

I now have Hercules ties on my truck and trailer. Seem to be okay. They are reasonable priced, very round and straight on the balancer and took less than 1oz to balance. About 15,000 on the truck and 2000 on the trailer.
