China Bombs

We have been looking at Cedar Creek and Cardinal 5th Wheels and took note that both of these 5ers ship standard with E Rated Goodyear Marathon tires. The Cardinal even has a option to bump the tires up to LR G!

So I am wondering what other TT & 5er brands out there offer GY Marathons as either standard or a option (I know our Rockwood did not)

Another China Bomb recall
NHTSA Campaign ID Number : 15T009
Synopsis : Shandong Jinyu Industrial Co. LTD, (Shandong) is recalling certain Jinyu YS78 and Evergreen ES89 AT tires, size LT225/75R16, manufactured April 1, 2011, to August 31, 2014 (DOT date codes 1611 through 4314). The affected tires may not be able to properly dissipate heat, and as a result, the tire belts may separate. If the tire belts separate, the tire may suddenly lose air, increasing the risk of a crash. The remedy for this recall is still under development. The manufacturer has not yet provided a notification schedule. Owners may contact Shandong customer service at 1-786-521-1296.

My Flagstaff Shamrock has china bombs, but they're inflated with nitrogen - just like NASCAR uses - so I ride with confidence.

I think you're only going to find better tires only the heavier units.

Mobile Suites uses Goodyear 17 1/2" H rated tires.

Brookstone fifth wheels by Coachmen are heavy units but I have no idea what tire they run.

Bob,

That was pretty much the conclusion I had as well. Cardinal and Cedar Creek are the top of the line for Forest River (RIP Trilogy )

And I think Wildcat is the top tier for the lightweight 5ers (Wildcat Chris started using Maxxis on his production models in 2014 I think)

Everything else is, I think, China Bombs

I'm not sure I follow your logic...

(Poorly constructed tires filed with Nitrogen blowout just as easily as those filled with air - the only difference is the air-filled blowout is a bit damper )
