Coolant level

I just took a long trip after repair to my cooling system, and the dash complained that the coolant level was low. No over heating issue, just a low level, probably due to the cooling issue from last month leading to some coolant pushing out at high temp.

I'm letting the engine cool in the driveway now, and I looked at the coolant fill cap. There's some complicated looking directions about filling the coolant, and I wonder if I need to follow them when topping off.

Anybody have any experience topping off the coolant? Can I just pour in some coolant-water mix or do I need to do something special?

Thanks.

I'm wondering the same thing...do you add to the reservoir or to the overflow? And they seem to make adding fluids anywhere next to impossible as there's very little clearance.
