Unhappy Cracked tire side walls

I have a 2008 Palomino G210 that I have used 3 times and run at most 500 miles. The side walls on all 4 of the Duro tires are deeply cracked. The dealer tells me that he has received exchange wheels from Forest River for his floor models but I should phone up Forest River and talk to them. The warranty book says that tire issues are to be resolved with your local tire dealer.

Anyone here have cracked sidewalls on their newer model Palominos and how did you resolve it???

If your dealer got his exchanged from Forest River, they must have
been cracked when brand new!!!
Why isn't your dealer helping you???
That's his job!

My suggestion is to first look at this website and then your tires
to see the date code--
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tiretech/techpage.jsp?techid=11

The last 4 digits tell the week and then the year
your tires were made.
Are they old??
New tires should not be cracking.

Did you get a pile of paperwork with your new trailer.
Are there papers for the tires???
Call Duro and tell them what's happening.
They might just be recalled or they may replace them.
If you don't have papers on Duro tires here is their website.
I'd call them and see where that leads you.
http://www.durotire.com/

Finally, you should file a report with the NTSB but that's not
going to get you any new tires......
Good luck!!

KyDan:

Dealer tells me to call 1-800 number in the book. I can't find it in the book. I will call dealer back on Monday.

Got a pile of papers but no papers for the tires.

Sent Duro a message thru their website. Waiting for a reply.

Trailer not physically here to check date codes. Will do that tomorrow am.

Tires can't be much older than 2 years if one assumes it was manufactured after 06, 2007 to be a 2008 model.

Thanks for your suggestions.

Don't bet on tire age, I bought my 2006 camper new and the tires were 2 years old, the date code was stamped 46th week of 2004.

Call Duro but I think it would help if you had the date codes.
At least you need date you purchased the trailer new.

Toll Free: 866.788.2060

From the Duro web site.

Good luck!

I just bought a new never used riverforest 5th wheel..all tires including spare are cracked on sidewalls...dealer said they would replace but they are not real bad so I thought I would bring them in the fall. They stated they have been having problems with tires

Thanks
