cracks in sidewalls

While checking my air pressure I noticed that I have cracks in my sidewalls which I believe means I should get new tires ASAP. Is that correct? See attached photos.

A brief search on the Internet did not show the tires on my 2013 Sunseeker 2250 SLEC. They are Tires Uniroyal Larado LT225/70R16.

The date code is 4411 which irritates me since when I bought this rig this past August I was told the tries were newer that than the 2011 indicated.

Date codes don't lie. Tires 4+ years old. If like most RV tires and close to maxed out on carrying capacity, I would replace them. Although tires are not inexpensive, they are much less expensive than tires plus body work. Just out of curiosity, who told you that tires marked 4411 are newer than 2011??

When we were in the process of buying this unit I was concerned about the coach battery and the tires. Two people at the dealership assured me both were fine. Both were not true. I specifically asked about the date code and one guy bent down and looked at the sidewall and said 2013.

Guess he figured it was a 2013... Say 2013 and make you go away! Interesting to see the tires were two years old before they even hit your RV. Is the chassis a 2012 or built in 2012?

It is a 2012 chassis with 2013 house and registration.

Had tires replaced by my local Ford Dealer who has a bay that can accommodate motorhomes. They even have a tech who is their motorhome guy. I saw three other motorhomes the day I was there.

They matched my best price and did a great job, even cleaning up my wheels and lining up my tires valves on the rear duels. Now I am thinking the chassis was built by Chevy with he valves not lined up.

I also feel much better after their courtesy inspection showed that the chases needs nothing. They did give it a lube job for $8.00

So my Chevy and I are happy with our Ford dealer. I will take it there for state inspections, oil changes, etc and save a bundle over what RV dealers charge.

If anyone is interested it is Garnet Ford in Chadds Ford, PA.
