We have electric over hydraulic disc brakes on a piece of equipment we have at work.
It would be the same system as you'd put on your camper.

Imo it wouldn't be cost effective for the return in gains or benefits.

Here's the pump.
http://www.etrailer.com/Trailer-Brak...r/K71-651.html

You'll also need ....
2 or 4 calipers depending on single or tandem axles.
Caliper mounting kits.
Brake line which you'll have to bend and secure.
Brake hoses and fitttings.

The motor still runs off your brake controller input.

To be honest I can't tell the difference.

If anything the electric/ hydraulic brakes are smoother.

Disc brakes HAVE to better than shoes. No adjusting them, bearing grease becomes less of a problem, just have to stop better with way less fade.
