Looking at a conversion kit for electro/hydraulic brake kit. Anyone ever do this id is it overkill?

You'll also need ....
2 or 4 calipers depending on single or tandem axles.
Caliper mounting kits.
Brake line which you'll have to bend and secure.
Brake hoses and fitttings.
The motor still runs off your brake controller input.
Disc brakes HAVE to better than shoes. No adjusting them, bearing grease becomes less of a problem, just have to stop better with way less fade.
