Do trailer tires ever have steel belts?

I bought a 21rr and I notice that the tires do not have steel belts. Also they are a 2 ply tire with 4 ply tread. Does this mean it is a 2 ply tire with a 2 ply belt? I am planning a trip to a national forest campground in Colorado this summer and the entrance is full of huge rocks for a distance of about 200 feet. I know lots of other campers travel over them but I'm just wondering if everyone else has steel belts?

Different tires use different construction. I'm guessing your looking at the sidewall? What load range are they? Mine for instance are steel belted load range E but is a larger heavier trailer. Tread is 2 ply poly + 2 ply steel and sidewall is 2 ply poly

Mine are load range C. I know that cars have had steel belts for years, maybe my trailer tires are just a cheap shortcut.

Tire Rack advertises the Goodyear Marathons as "Internally, the Marathon Radial features twin steel belts (with selected sizes reinforced with nylon cap plies)".

I can't find much on the Goodyear website.

Nothing wrong with a bias ply tire so I wouldn't worry about it.
