I understand the risks of blowing out the seal and will live with the consequences. But I went really slow and spun the wheels. It took me about 2 hours total to do the 4 wheels, if that gives an idea of what I meant by slow.
I think some people have learned the hard way not to count on the ez lube to do a good job , not blow past the rear seal , and it also gives people the impression that's all they ever need to do . the ez lube works just fine as if you say you spin the wheel and add the grease slowly . but it's not something i will use only . I make it a point to jack up , check play
etc before i use the ez lube and then it's just the once a yr thing after a couple yrs it's time to pull the hubs and visually check the bearings and seals . it allows you to also look at the brakes and give them a once over
those that think they can count on just the ez lube and say they packed their bearings are asking for trouble down the road . i say this from experience . i've replaced to many spindles on axles that friends said they packed with the ez lube of course . Not being a minister just passing good info along to those that really have no experience
