electric brakes on trailer not working

Have a 2014 Sandpiper and it has only been towed twice. Once from the dealership to a park where I was staying for a year and then home from MS to NC. My electric brake controller is not recognizing the trailer brakes when hooked up. I checked my brake controller and it is working when I tow my low boy trailer. Any one have any suggestions where to start and figure out what is wrong. Thanks for your help in advance

I would first check to make sure your truck harness and camper harnesses match brake power wiring. Years ago, I worked for a guy that has to change the plug wiring on every new truck he bought. Didn't realize, or wouldn't admit, his trailers were just wired incorrectly at the harness.

But, aside from that, follow wiring from harness or near each tire and do a visual inspection if the wiring.
Coarse, it's newer and if you have the two year warranty, I'd call my dealer if it's not a simple fix.
