Well greased the axles for the first time today. All went as advertised new grease in old grease came out. As Herk had warned in another thread watch out for the zerk fittings. Two of mine were just laying inside when I took the rubber seal out. One question I have though is what's the easiest way to get the grease gun off the zerk fitting. I don't know if it's because I have a new gun but I had a heck of a time pulling it off the fitting.
I grease mine with mobile 5 which is what we use in our acft wheel bearings, if it is good for them It ought to hold up to my demands. because I dont sit in -40 for hrs then heat up to 300plus in seconds

Check the end of your grease gun. Most can be adjusted. All you have to do is twist it. They are designed to fit different size zerk fittings.
I just use NAPA's best wheel bearing grease. Over 25,000 miles on the trailer now with now bearing issues.
