Fifth Wheel Landing Gear ??

Hello,
I would like some input on extension/retraction speeds. Mine does about 3"/min. This just seems awfully slow compared to my last 5ther. I don't remember those specs.
Batteries are fully charged, also checked plugged into A/C.

My electric is so slow I use a small screw driver wedged behind the switch and then move from one side to the other moving the blocks around till I get them where I want them or put them away depending.

My last fiver had hydraulic landing gear that were very fast. By comparison, the electric ones I have now are painfully slow. Just the nature of the beast I guess.

It's "easier" better for the motor .
The gear reduction seems to have a deeper gear ratio therefore slower and more powerful.

They are all slow, I agree it takes forever it seems, I also agree with TURBS, if it went to fast you would loose the power needed to lift the unit. Remember it's picking up the whole unit. Electric stabilizers are the same. I think they even use the same motor. I'm surprised on the power that little 12V motor has.

Mine is slow too but as long as it's moving I'm happy.

Agree with the comments - electric does take its time, but as long it's moving, I can wait. May be slow but the system works well.

I am sorry to inform you most electric jacks are so slow a snail beats it, you can watch grass grow and all the other silly things people can say about slow. But it is not you mine are painfully SLOW!
Happy Camping and head for hydraulics can ( if I get the money on my wish list, with some items)

Is there anyway to supercharge an armature?

K&N filter, chip it out, headers, NOS, cam (RV of course), spinners....

My landing gear goes up and down in a flash when I pull the pin! Then only have to use the electric motor to move a couple of inches.
