I have Michelin LT285/75R16 LTX MS2 tires on my E350 Diesel Van. Use the van mostly for towing, and have run them over 45,000 miles over over 4 years. The have been fantastic tires - wear even, stay balance, and ride quietly. They still have like 20% tread on them, but I am going to change them out tomorrow for a set of the same thing, because we are headed south for the rest of the winter, and will put another 4-5000 miles on. A kid up the street will give me $100 for the old set. Ford dealers have a special going that they will match any competitive written price, and they rotate and check the balance on them for free every time I go in for an oil change.

I have a price of $1,236 installed, etc on six Generals from a close by RV lot. Not a new RV dealer.

I have been shopping around but became concerned that a lot of places don't usually service motorhomes which may lead to unintentional damage underneath my rig if they have to jack it up. I rather go to a place that has a lift strong enough for a motorhome.

I've run only Michelin and Goodyear on my 2500HD Diesel and never had a problem with either brand. The last set of Michelin went 70,100 and change before I replaced them. Looked like another 5,000 miles before touching the wear bars. Just put 4 new Goodyears on due to a sale my tire guy had going. I'm good with either brand IMHO.

At one time I bought GoodYears. All my vehicles had them. I finally learned better when a new car came with another brand. that taught me. GoodYears just do NOT last. All you get for more money is a name. My last TT came with Goodyear Marathons. Less than 4 years, One of them exploded and scattered it self all over the road. so no. You will NOT see a Goodyear tire on any thing I own ever again.
On the other hand General makes a good tire.

I have a 2014 Sunseeker Model 2250SLEC. It came standard with General tires. I've owned it since May of 2013 and have had no problems with the tires since I bought it. There are no cracks in the sidewalls and they look as good as new. Last year I bought another General Tire as my spare, since the 2250LE doesn't come with a spare. I put the spare on a Curt tire holder and attached it to the hitch in the back, since I don't tow any vehicles. I admit I haven't put that many miles on the RV since we usually camp at a local State Park during the summer.

I ordered General Tires through the RV shop near my home. The Michelins were not that much more but the shop guy said he sees more sidewall cracking on the Michelins.

This place has hundreds of RVs on their property in all states of repair and disrepair. There is a tree growing through one of them. My point is that they have decades of experience and I hope that I can use them for my service needs. This will be a good test.

I don't want to go back to the place where I bought this rig which is about 20+ minutes away. The used shop is only 5 minutes away. It looks like a junk yard but they have a good reputation locally.

Thanks for all of the good responses,

Bobby

I like the lines of it and the height is good for all of the low clearances in this part of the world.
