Ours did the same thing. If you take one off you will see that the lip is bent a little, just enough to let some grease out. I think the press that they use bends them a little. A new cap will fix it. Tap it on with a rubber hammer and a block of wood.

I just sent an email off to my warrantee contact at Forest River and asked about my 2 caps. I told home if they sent them to me I will replace them because I don't have a local dealer for Forest River that is within 100 miles.

Target now sells....are you ready for it?....Hello Kitty Duck Tape. Yep, Duck Tape brand duct tape has added the Hello Kitty logo to its product line. Individual rolls can be found in Target stores, and you can also buy a six-pack (for $34.98) at Target.com.

My kids would love this!

I can also attest to using duck tape for anything. We use to use it to tape up severe blisters in long races.

Call me old fashioned/old school but although I have EZ Lube axles, I repack the bearings with new seals each year on our Sierra 325RGD. Last season i found the spring shackles almost worn through so I upgraded to a Dexter kit with wet bolts and a new "Y" equalizer. I have the tools and time so do not have to pay the high dealer prices. Worth it to me for an extra margin of confidence. Got rid of the cheap Chinese junk tires and upgraded to Michelin XRV. I'm not going to be on the side of the road if I can help it.

I just checked the Michelin XRV and couldn't find one in my size
225/75/R15
The repacking each year is good if you drive 8-10 thousand miles but for most of us that only happens once or twice after retirement. Glad you found your worn shackles before they broke. No moreleaf spings for me.

As always Lou thank for your comments.
I just sent AL KO a message on their website with my information about the caps falling off. We will see if they respond positively. Sounds like they just got a bad batch of end caps that were not to specs. I did save the web link for the caps just in case I need them.
