Dealer tells me that it was just over packed with grease and to keep an eye on it. After cleaning it up and hitting the road again (300km) it re-occurred. Is this kind of issue seen often or am I having my chain pulled.

I contact Al-Ko and told them about my caps falling off becaus ethey are loose. It has been going on since new. They just emailed me and siad they will send me a new set in the mail.

I did give them my ax;es numbers which are located in the center of the axles.

That's GREAT, I'm glad to see they came through for you and supported their product.

Yes, I had the same grease leak problem-------

Had the exact same grease leak problem on my 6000 mile trip to P.E.I.
last September. Just before I left on the trip, I adjusted the bearings, brakes and re-greased the bearings with a hand grease gun. I pumped the "RED" grease in until it began to appear at the grease cup. Removed all the old factory "GREEN" grease. I removed all of the excess grease in the grease cup anticipating grease leakage due to heat and the grease being put in under slight pressure from the grease gun. But on the right front wheel I had the grease leak. When returning from the trip, I contacted AL-KO about the problem. The problem was the grease cup not sealing when tapped into place. I now have four new grease cups from AL-KO.

Common problem, easy to correct with a couple beers, Ahhhh, satisfaction!
