Grease seal leak

Trailer is one year old, Clipper 17FQ with 3500 lb. Al-Ko axle.
Discovered that the highway side grease seal had been leaking when I pulled the drum to clean and repack the bearings.
Other than that everything was in good shape, plenty of grease in both.
Just glad I decided to tackle this today, the shoes had minimal contamination. Was able to clean it all up and get it back together.
There was a small rough spot where the seal rides on the axle so I polished it up with some emory cloth. Hopefully that takes care of it.

Hopefully you replaced the seals and used a regular brake cleaner on the shoes.

Yes sir I did!
I've been reading all the threads here on the topic of brakes and wheel bearings! Made sure I had everything needed before I started.
Thanks to everyone that has posted on those threads.
