how to use leveling jacks

I am a newbie to a 2005 Georgetown 375xl, have used the leveling jacks 2 times with no issues, the third (always the charm, right?) time, I tried to raise the front 2 jacks together, ending up cracking the passenger windshield (the wife was......not happy). maybe I just don't know how to use the leveling buttons, the buttons are in a diamond shape, I assumed that to raise the front 2 together the top button would do the job nicely, it didn't. as this unit is 8 yrs old (with only 8k miles on the meter), is it possible that there is contamination in the hydraulic lines? Thanks to anyone who can help.

Lippert Levelers Troubleshooting Tips.pdf

Here's some info on the Levelers. I'm not 100% sure that FR used Lippert Levelers in 2005 but in case they did here's some info.
