I submit my tire failure for analysis

A Castle Rock brand tire load range D, less than 1000 miles on it.
Properly inflated, and monitored by a TPMS.
Failed on I-35 N. just south of Norman, OK.

Looks like it ran over something and was cut to me.

Details! Details please. It does not look like a catastrophic blowout. Do you feel like the TPMS helped you avoid a bad situation? I have one as well and I'm hoping it will give a reasonable warning of a problem.

Looks like road damage, something on the road cut it, but unless you remember seeing the item it becomes just a guess.

Tire was driver side rear.
Although we had been over some really bad road that morning, it was good at that point. I didn't see anything in the road.

The Tire lost pressure suddenly, The TPMS alarmed, and I was able to slow down (doing 60-65 at the time) and get to a safe place before tire shredded. So TPMS did its job.

Thats what I was hoping to here, I just recently installed a TPMS system and figured if it works just once it has paid for itself.
