Is it my trailer brake controller setup, or is this normal?

I just had a controller put in my tow vehicle for my Rockwood 2514g. When disengaging the brake from a complete stop, there is a single click coming from the breaks. Is this normal? I currently have it set so I feel minimal/no drag from the back and it feels smooth in all braking situations.

You could have a brake out of adjustment and the magnet is over travelling. What you may be hearing is it returning to the resting position.
Can you have someone walk along side and listen to where it's coming from exactly.

My brake controller will hold the trailer brakes at about 25% when at a stop with the brake pedal pressed. If yours does a similar thing, you could be hearing the release.
