Jack for changing tire on TT ?

I just found out that my hydraulic bottle jack is bad. Instead of replacing it in kind, I found a manual bottle jack like I used on the farm. It has a long crank handle that I can use to position it, crank, and retrieve the jack without crawing on my knees. That jack is lighter, will always work, and is actually quicker to raise an axle up. Why didn't I think of that before!! Best part is it cost $0 as I had it laying around the shop!

2000 Cherokee 31BH, "flipped axles and raised",LEDs, solar, inverter, etc..aka "boondock ready". '07 Tundra 5.7L DC-LB, modded as well. C-co, 8/158th, AVN.

I picked up a bottle jack to keep in the TT just in case. My only concern with it is that I was using a bottle jack to change a flat along I81 a couple years ago when a tractor trailer went by and the wind rocked the trailer enuf it fell off the jack... no damages or injuries but was a wake up call. I may try to weld up a cradle for the bottle jack post or some other way to hold the axle a little more securely. I do like some of the options here for raising the good tire to change the bad, but they're kinda of bulky and 'one more thing' to have to haul around but I may got that route eventually, we'll see.

That's why I made this adaptor for my bottle jack.

You are correct. The OP was asking what everyone used, not necessarily TT specific. The Trailer Aid is basically the same concept.
