Jacking a Fifth Wheel Not Hitched to TV

I managed to find 2 badly deformed tires on the driver side of my Sabre fifth wheel 32BHTS. Both tires had deformed so badly that I couldn't even place a finger in between the two! These were the factory Akuret tires.

I want to pull both wheels off and run to town to have new tires mounted - most likely Maxxis. I'm a little concerned about the weight distribution on the landing legs while I've got it jacked up. Anybody ever jack up their fifth wheel without it being connected to their TV? Can it or should it be done?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Shouldn't be a problem, have had all 4 wheels off with the landing jacks and 4 jack stands. Also do it with just one side on jack stands and the landing jacks.

Thanks, OldCoot! I feel much better with doing this without the TV connected given the sage advice from someone as experienced as you.
