Is it normal to hear popping noises when you walk around the motor home when the jacks are down and leveling the motor home? I get up in the middle of the night and try to sneak out to get a drink or go the the bathroom, and the noise wakes my wife up. Can also be heard from outside.
Sounds like the same problem we had when we first got our GT last year. We described it to LCI customer support and they emailed a remedy. It is a problem called stiction. It is a simple remedy, following their instruction it went away immediately. If you google, LCI stiction, you will find plenty of reading on it to be sure it is the same problem. Hope this helps.
Thanks for the info RJJ. Bought a quart of the Cat additive and so far it works like a charm. Jacks are even quieter and work more smoothly. Going away this weekend so will give them a good try out.
Glad it helped, but still carry a bottle of the Cat additive in case it happens again. It's been almost a year and about 9,000 miles, so I think I'm safe.
