Levelers scraping on New Forester

Having some issues with my new Forester's levelers. Looking at the levelers. the retract pin was bent with scrape marks on the bottom of the foot. I need to raise the rear levelers. 1" or 2"? There is plenty of room. The fronts may be a different story and may be able to raise it 1". Otherwise, Bigfoot says they have shorter units for the front with less stroke. Means lego blocks!

How do you raise the? I can only back into my driveway, otherwise level lets scrape. Although, I don't know tat an inch would change much.

I called Bigfoot levelers and spoke to a tech. He said that I can raise it 1" by removing the 4 nuts using a 5/8" deep socket and moving the unit up. He did advise me that it may cause over extension in certain circumstances. I said that I would be using the lego squares and try to minimized the amount of piston stroke. He replied that was best. My bolts are welded in place, so that limits me to the 1".

Going the do the fronts tomorrow. Hope there is enough room. Their website shows installation instructions and you should check it out.

I had the same problem with my Forester and discovered that Bigfoot welded the brackets onto the frame upside down, which dropped the cylinders a couple of inches. Since the cylinders only had one set of bolt holes, they had to change them to ones with multiple holes to raise them up. I asked them to separate the cylinders from the pump and mount them on the outside of the frame where there was plenty of room and make them inline with the fronts. They wouldn't do it because they said more welding would damage the frame! :-/

The rear Big Foot stabilizers on our Solera will scrape if I attempt to back in straight or pull into some driveways etc straight on. The answer is to make such maneuvers on a diagonal track. Then no scraping !!

Mine scrape bad. I just had them re welded higher up, but still low. Camping World installed them originally. The shop who redid them asked me why they didn't use the jacks that fold up. Anyone have the fold up style?

Raised my fronts up 1" this morning and will check the height once I get on level ground. Now all are raised 1" up.

I had the fold up style installed after purchase where I bought the Rv. A new 2014 3050s sun seeker. Love them. No problems so far.

Happy camper
