I would think the Range D would be plenty. The limiting factor might actually be your rims. Are they rated for the pressure that you would be running? D rating would be nice if you can do it. It would give you that extra margin on a long, hot towing day.
I ran a set of Marathons for 5 years and 30M miles. No issues whatsoever. They looked fine too. No cracking. But I decided to replace them at that point for peace of mind and safety. I did replace my C's with D's also.

Replaced my Carlisle C rated tires with Marathon D rated tires. MAKE SURE you replace the low pressure rubber stems with high pressure steel or brass stems.
Rubber stems max out at 50 PSI. Brass/steel stems can go to 100 PSI.

I just went by our rv and check the tires. The number on the side said "2109"...so that means there were made May 18-25, 2009. They still look good, but I will keep and eye on them.

So in May they will be 4 years old. If you run them regularly and cover when not in use you should get 2 more years service out of them.
Start saving for your replacements in a "tire jar" now and you will be ready to go when they "age out".

Yep, and it also allows you to attach a tire pressure monitor.

Yes, and yes....
We get ours from a local tire dealer, so just skip the middleman and go right to the tire shop....

I go 3 to 4 years and make sure I inspect them before each trip for cracks etc. It is just not worth it to push the life of the tire considering the damage it can cause.

I bought my Goodyear Marathons at my local Goodyear dealer. He does not stock ST tires so I had to order them.
Since he had to call the warehouse anyway, I requested the dealer to make them check for a set of 4 ST tires with the tire code "MD" (Gadsden, AL) and date stamped less than 1 year old.
Ordered on July 16 2010, I got not only 4 ST tires made in Alabama but a set that was made between June 21 and June 27 2010.
Now THAT is service.

It might be a good Idea for those that have new camper to check the date codes on there tires that came with your rig that way you will know how new your tires are, if they are more then a year by date code I would be seeking replacement by the camper manufacture and do this while you are still under warrenty.....If I remember correctly a tire that was manufacture and placed on a shelf and was stored for 5 years is now no good, this tire could be a danger.

I bought mine when not too many campers were being sold.
Those frames could have been there a long time before they got built into my particular camper.

I bought my tires from The Tire Rack online and had them shipped. Then had them mounted and balanced locally of course.

I checked at local tire dealer and his quote was around $400 cheaper than the local RV dealer for same Maxxis tire. Pays to call.

What kind of TPMS? Does it just show at stem or is there some that you can monitor from your TV?

ONLY get the ones you can monitor at the RV. I have never heard of one you can only read at the tire. Why not get a 10 dollar gauge?
This is the system I am looking at for our camper. Just too much stuff ahead of it (like teeth )
tst systems

You should look at your build date of your trailer. But sometimes they have the frames with the tires on them waiting to be built or dependingon if you ordered it or bought it off the dealer lot. Because your 2012 could have been built in 2011 and sat on the dealers lot
