Just like quitting smoking, it is never too late to stop making something worse.
Any excuse to go camping, IMO; but no need to go nuts. If you keep 'em covered and stay at a sane speed till they warm up, you should be just fine.

Hey we can start a "new" thread on the forum. We can call it "Guru Lou"... kinda like Dear Abby.

There are several good units out there. I used Truck System Technologies TPMS. It has a monitor in the truck. Works great. Does tire temperature in addition to tire pressure.

The tire monitoring systems are great piece of mind. I love mine and will never go without one ever again.

Our Karrier Loadstars were 3 yrs old only 4800 miles on them but we felt more comfortable with new ones. Decided on Kumho 857s went with the 195s instead of 205 because they were the same size 26" also the only d rated 14" tire we could find. Our regular trusted car repairman will be installing tomorrow he also ordered and checked the made on date and will install heavy duty valves. I think we will be more comfortable on long trips having hopefully better tires. Thanks to all the great info on this site it made decision easy.
