Lippert frame failure

Greetings All,

I am new to the forum and am wondering if someone could help me gather some information. I have a 2009 CC Silverback 32wrl purchased new last year. Last season after pulling it a very short distance we noticed some issues with the fiberglass and took it into the dealer for inspection. The dealer and Fortest River have said it is an issue with the king pin box.

I have read numerous posts about similar issues with the Lippert frame so it sounds like a common problem. My trouble is that I am not getting any action from my dealer. The problem occurred at the end of last season and the plan was to have my camper taken back to the factory this Feb for repair and returned to me by an agreed to date of April 1st.

I have had concerns about this plan from inception but elected to ride it out and trust that I would see good customer service. Unfortunately this is not happening.

In reading through the posts on this site it looks like overall many members have had a favorable experience with Forest River. Before getting attorneys involved I would like to try and resolve this with Forest River directly. Would anyone be willing to share a helpful contact at FR with me? Thanks in advance for the help.

Welcome to the forum

Welcome to the F.R.O.G. forum. If Forest River says they will take it to the factory, by all means let them do the repairs!

There has been many satisfied people on the forum that sent their RV back to FOREST RIVER for repairs that the dealer could not handle.

I have to give a thumbs up to FOREST RIVER for their commitment to their customers and products. You will not be sorry about the return to the factory.

How did you get a 2009 unit brand new in 2012? That is what your post stated.

The contact number for Siverback from their current brochure is 260 593 3017 for parts and service. You'll need your VIN when you talk to them.
