Mastertrack or Gladiator trailer tires

I am needing new tires and have called several tire dealers in town. It seems that all of them sell either Mastertrack or Gladiator trailer tires. Both are made in China but the Mastertrack is a load range D and 8 ply and the Gladiator is a 6 ply c rated tire. Does anyone here have any experience with either brand of tire? My tire size is 205/75R14 and best I can tell all tires in this size are Chinese made. Even the Goodyear dealer here said the Marrathons in my size are now made in China. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks,

Mike

Maxxis is you best choice. Either have them order them or go somewhere else for them.

Seen a lot of praise for the Khumo Radial 857's, too.

Sorry to ask what might seem off topic but how come you need tires for a 2011 surveyor already, it's not very old?

Sorry, never heard of either.
I would avoid any Chinese product, even the Marathons. Why take the chance?
Go with Maxxis M8008, great reputation.
And yes, we will get the Goodyear apologists claiming that Maxxis is made in Thailand, and that Thailand is no better than China, but that is simply not supported by the facts.
And the C-rated tires have enough load capacity for your camper.

Mine is a '12 and it will have new Kuhmos on before my 3k trip this summer. The factory ones are crap. I am not leaving my 18k TT to a set of tires that are not trustworthy at the least.

The reason I am needing new tires is even though my trailer is a 2011 it was purchased July 2010. I have close to 12,000 miles on them and have had to patch one already from a screw being in it. I am planning several more long trips this year and want to be safe.

The nearest maxxis dealer is about 80 miles away is it worth the trip to get Maxxis tires?

I bought my Maxxis tires online at discount tire direct. They had the best price and free shipping. I had mine mounted and balanced at Walmart.

Only if you don't want to worry about tires exploding on your trip. Go the distance and be done with it.

Found Kuhmos 857 at Sears thinking I will go with them as most everything I have read on them is positive.

Be sure to have them balanced. Steel valve stems are also a nice investment.
