You probably already know this but be sure to get fresh tires with a recent date stamp on the tire. If you don't call it out to them it's easy to get stuck with tires that are already a year or more old.

Yep, I am aware of that, but thanks for mentioning it. Ya never know who is following a thread that may not know that.

Your local tire dealer can get the Maxxis tires. They just have to put in the order and they show up the next day. My dealer does not sell them but can easily get them.

Maxis 8008

I got a set last summer after a blow out and could not be happier. They tow so smooth and quiet. I have also noticed that I don't have any sidewall rubbing on the inside of the wheel liners like I had with the stock bias plys that came new on the TT.

I see this Onlinetires.com indicates the Maxxis M8008 now has a speed rating Q = up to 99 mph.

The price at onlinetires is really great. Might order a spare tire at that price.

A prudent idea to be sure.

After adding freight, the cost is slightly more than discounttiredirect. They ship free 😝 , and they offer a 3 year warranty....for an additional $20...

I bought a set of maxxis 8008's last September and put 900-1000 miles on them last fall with no problems. I went from LR D to E and noticed a better ride-less sway.

That story fits a large group of people on this forum. Great tire choice.
