Maxxis tire prices

Just wondering what people are paying for Maxxis 225 75 15 trailer tires on average as I want to buy a set but need to go down to Montana to purchase them as the only dealers in Western Canada are in BC and according to Maxxis there are no dealers in North Dakota either. I am hoping they will come in under my $800.00 personal exemption for 48 hrs out of country.

Thanks

I just priced 4 (same size a yours) mounted balanced and out the door at $570.00 and that is from a local tire shop in Columbus Ohio. Went to a "D" rated tire (had "C") I priced at local RV dealer and they wanted $923.00 for same tire. I have heard people ordering from Tire Rack.com I believe it was and getting them mounted local.

I bought 4 Maxxis 235 80R16 tires on E-bay for $660.00 shipped to my door. I don't know how much the 225 15's would be, but I have to assume less than that. Also not sure how shipping to Canada works for you. But the tires were very new by the date code (only a couple of months old) and have been fine so far.

Thanks for the info, I have to buy them myself south of the border as we get raped on shipping by UPS on things like tires, so I figured just find a dealer and buy them stay in the US for 48 hrs and have a nice mini vacation then bring them home for free shipping and no duty.

tire rack etc will ship to a "local" independent service center to be installed, so if you wanted to pull your trailer down you could have them installed.

Otherwise you should be able to find someplace to buy them and take them home to be installed.

Actually called my tire shop this morning. A set of 4 205/75/15 m8008 load range D would cost me $480 not including taxes so would probably be around $500 with taxes. This price includes free mounting balancing and valve stems. Which I will be getting metal screw in style valve stems which will probably cost me more. As soon as we get our income tax they will be ordered.
