MiniLite etc Ground Clearance

My question to the forum is in regard to a 2011 Rockwood MiniLite etc. Due to street repaving we can no longer get our rig out of the driveway without very cumbersome ramps. The situation is no longer acceptable. Has anyone had any experience increasing ground clearance on one of these chassis. Any information would be appreciated. I have talked to FR/Rockwood and to Axis the axle suppler. Neither can give me any help. I am extremely happy with the trailer except for the ground clearance and don't want to change trailers. See attached photos of the axle mount.

Could you build a 2 x 2 or 2 x 3 steel tube frame and insert it between the present frame and the suspension?

Your suggestion is basically the riser kit the factory has to offer. Unfortunately when we were at the factory they said they couldn't use that system and had no alternate for this chassis..
Thanks for the reply
