Motorhome tire carrier

I have a 2014 28QB Freelander, after spending the money for a spare tire I found out chevy does not make an under carriage mount. I can't find any bumper mount that is recommended for a motorhome tire. The tire is R225/R16 dual rim. I haven't weigh it yet but pretty sure it's more than 60lbs. I hate to give up storage space. Any suggestions?

Chevy/GMC, Ford, and Dodge trucks have all used an under carriage mount for years. you should be able to order from a dealer or body shop, or find one at a junk yard. Google "chevy truck spare tire mount" or something similar and you will find many sources for around $100. You may need to do some fabrication to mount it to your trailer.

UH, we may be talking apples vs> oranges here: The OP states that this is a motorhome, a class "C" if I am right. "jrshall": Your post sounds as if you are referring to pick-up trucks which do have under carriage tire mounts for years.

Right. I was thinking about my fiver. However, I don't see any reason why a pickup truck tire mount would not work on a motorhome. A mount is a mount. It's just a matter of mounting the winch assembly to the under carriage. Like I said, it may need a little fabrication.
