Need a better spare tire mount

I found my spare bumper mounted tire mount had bent and my heavy spare tire was loose after traveling to Florida this winter. Any suggestions on a sturdier mount?

The mount is fine. Beat the metal back straight. In the picture, the lug nuts are on backwards, the beveled edge should be facing the tire and be very tight. The lug nuts backed off and allowed the tire to bounce and bend the tire mount. If the lug nuts continue to 'back off', then buy two 'lock' nuts to keep it from moving.

Thanks for the feedback. My only concern is that the metal might now be weakened where it bent. The tire is pretty heavy.

Most RV tires are heavy, the spare tire holder will be fine. No need to spend money on something that you do not have to.

If you are still worrying about it, buy a new one. Now that you know the cause of the bending was loose lug nuts. I have a spare tire holder on the bumper and another one under the RV.

Thanks for all the info. I'll probably first try bending it back into shape and then go from there.
