New Product: Trailerlegs for storage?

I ran across a product on Amazon today that seems rather innovative (or at least the first I've seen) and I'd like to get thoughts/debate on it. It only had 1 feedback, but seems to be a good idea for storage for your TT. I'd worry about my TT possibly falling off (so what?) or damaging axles. Seems a bit pricey at $160 per axle. Thoughts?

Don't think you can use those with torsion axles.

You may want to see what kind of axles you have, as you may find out they are like Dexter's below who specifically state in their manual the following:

See the last sentence of #2 and also the warning label right below it:

AL-KO (which has now been bought out by Dexter) are even more adamant about never supporting/lifting on the axle.

Thanks for the feedback. It does seem like a bad idea now. I wonder how many "tire shops" are changing TT tires by jacking up under axles instead of under the frame. I bet the majority of them do it improperly...

Very true, tire shops jack up units in "Do Not Jack Up Areas"! You Must watch them like a Hawk or they will place their jacks where they should NOT! Be Very Firm with them on where to Properly lift your unit,if Not it Will/Can cost YOU grief and $$$! I have our Ramps that are Dual purpose for "Leveling/Chocks/and Lifting wheel off surface"! Most tire shops change RV Trailer tires "Outside" anyway so I make it easy for them by having the Ramps! Youroo!!

Sure enough, a quick flip through YouTube videos confirmed it. https://youtu.be/qR8s_u7hKZ0

Storage

IMO, for what that's worth, it's free. Not worth the price or effort to set up. Tires are designed to cary the load. Old
Bias ply tires would "flat spot" if parked too long. I had a 1958 Chevy 1ton that would rattle you teeth on a cold morning. Radials don't seem to have that problem.

Another gimmick to take your money. DO NOT JACK ON THE AXLES! Save yourself some money and headaches over a bent axle(s) - Get yourself some heavy duty jack stands from Harbor Freight, jack it up and place them under the frame rails.

if you are concerned about not flat spotting the tires over long term storage see if you can find a dealer near you that carries something similar to these.

I just sold a set for 20$ at a flea market. used them 2 years then sold the second trailer and didn't need them.

Wasn't actually the bias ply construction as much as the Nylon used in a lot of those tire's construction. Lots of radials (like the tires on my 2018 Micro-Lite) have Nylon Belts.

These plastic "stands" are fine for those who have leaf springs and they are placed next to the spring shackles. That's where the tube carries the load anyway. Torsion axles? No-No.
