New Tires
We are about ready to replace our travel trailer tires. And it can become quite confusing trying to figure out what will be the best tire for the money that we have to spend. Of course safety is first and foremost.
I have narrowed the brands down to: Maxxis, Goodyear and Carlisle. We would appreciate hearing from anyone that has gone through this recently. From what we can tell, they are all within a few dollars of each other. We are looking 10 ply and load D or E. Our unit ways about 7000 lbs when loaded. We normally drive between 58-62.
Thanks so much for your help

If you have 15" rims, I used Maxxis with a E rating when I had my TT and my Chaparral fifth wheel. Very pleased with them.

This is a very controversial topic.
A 'search' will provide you with lots of opinions and information on tires.
However, I'm sure you will draw some input and suggestions.
For myself.. I will be getting a set of Maxxis for my 5th wheel prior to my next long trip.
Maxxis : because they are proven to be reliable and to me they are a well built tire for my needs.
I won't go with Goodyear endurance because I don't want the expense of upgrading the wheels to accommodate higher pressure... and I don't drive fast.
There seems to be more disappointment posted with Carlisle, perhaps it is because they do have a big chunk of the market .. RV,boat, utility and other trailers.
This is just my own opinion .

I bought my Maxxis tires from Discount Tire. Put about 10,000 trouble free miles on them before I sold the trailer.

Discount offers a great warranty on new tires, even if you didn't buy from them. Spousal unit took our newly purchased 2018 Freelander in and got a warranty for all 6 tires. 2 weeks later got a flat on rear inside tire and they replaced it FREE, no hassle, plus you have lifetime rotation/balance, what a deal! The 1 tire replacement more then paid for the warranty co$t$.

I purchase the new Goodyear Endurance tires this year and they are made right here in the good old USA E rated 15inch (rated for 80 mph) same money as most other brand tires mentioned. Very happy with them and so far have 4000 miles on them. Notice tt handles a lot better also and get just a tad better gas mileage also. Later RJD

I ordered my Maxxis from http://www.discounttiredirect.com and had them shipped straight to me. Local tire shop mounted them.
I'd either opt for Maxxis or Goodyear Endurance.

Goodyear Endurance
order them online to be shipped to your local Goodyear dealer for install
make sure to get metal valve stems if you do not already have them
Goodyear has tire stores from coast to coast should you have a problem
made in USA... heavier carcass then other brands

After having many tire brands fail on my 10,000 lb trailer, I have had good luck so far with Carlisle 15" load range E. I try to add metal valve stems to all my vehicle tires, as I have had several car tires fail by running low due to cracked and leaking rubber stems. And I always run trailer tires at max rated pressure, regardless of load.

We replaced our "China Bombs" with Maxxis only because the local tire shop pretty much refused to put Goodyear's on. The Goodyear Endurance is not as proven as the Maxxis but has a higher speed limit (80) than the Maxxis (65) and is made in the USA.

Not sure of which tire size you have but the latest Maxxis for my trailer, 225x75x15 have a speed rating of 100mph. I have GY Endurance also but would have gone Maxxis if someone in town had them, (needed tires ASAP when I got the GY's).

I just installed 4 205/75-14 Endurance tires. This is a bit nitpicky so pardon me for being so. The speed rating is N...87 mph...for these tires. They are load range D as well. With extra speed rating (and load range), I'll gladly continue to mosey along at 60-65 with more confidence.

Thanks for that post. I will now revisit the tire specs as I'm pretty sure we have the exact tires you showed. The California speed limit for trailers is 55 mph but the neighboring states of Arizona, Utah and Nevada have no such problem. Don't want to go too fast but 65 - 70 on a smooth and straight road would be nice.

As mentioned, this topic has been discussed in great detail through thousands of posts here on this forum and thousands more on others.
I believe any of these three are going to do a way better job than the OEM tires.
You did ask what others have done so you will get many responses. (opinions)
Mine... Goodyear Endurance.
