New tires, painted wheels and chrome lug nuts

Our trailer is starting it's 7th season. The original Carlisle tires held up well.
My rig only weighs 4050 at the axles loaded with full gear and water heading
to the campground. These tires are rated around 7000 so I have a nice
safety margin.

Since I was going to check brakes, replace bearings and seals and
get new rubber I debated spending the $$$ for alloy wheels but opted
to save the money for gas! I spray painted my old steel wheels before
getting the new tires so didn't even bother to be careful. I painted tires
and wheels!!

Since my lug nuts were starting to rust pretty bad and looked ugly-
I opted for new chrome hi top acorn nuts. I last priced these many years
ago for a boat trailer and found them pretty pricey.
This time Ebay to the rescue. I found a "set" of 24 1/2-20 chrome
lug nuts for a measly $15 and change including 2 day priority mail!
They might be a little old school but I like 'em!
Way back in high school the only way I could afford to dress up my old
ride was to paint the wheels black and stick on some chrome acorn nuts!

I still like the look! If you've got steel wheels and rusty lug nuts these
are pretty cheap way to dress up the old gal....
Oh yeah, even though the Carlisle tires worked for me I upgraded to a new
set of Maxxis this time.

Looks very nice,but aren't you concerned that people will now think you're running on 4 spare tires/wheels?
