Exclamation NHTSA Investigation Grease Seals

Found this on the Columbus RV Group FB page today. Seems the NHTSA has given Lippert and FR until May 9th to provide ALL the documentation regarding this VERY SERIOUS ISSUE! More to follow as it becomes available!

If you haven't filed a compliant with the NHTSA, it's not too late! Please go to their website and file, even if you have had the repairs done, it is imperative that we get ALL the information out there to hopefully force a recall and prevent someone from getting seriously injured and/or worse, killed. THANKS!

How do people with failed hub seals, grease on brakes, etc. file a complaint?
Anything we have to pay particular attention to?
Is there a website for this? Most people have no idea how to do this and have never dealt with NHTSA much less filing complaints online.

Go to Home | National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). Click on the "File a Complaint" link at the top right. I have filed several over the years.

As Narboza indicated above, it is pretty simple! BE SURE TO INCULDE your VIN number where indicated. In the Narrative section, short & simple is best, sticking to the FACTS w/o a lot of other stuff to cloud the issue. The NHTSA has been very responsive to this matter as you can see by their demand letters. THANK YOU to all who have filed and those who will file! We must keep this on the front burner to get some action! Lippert has "apparently" told dealerships they will not pay for these alleged repairs, even under warranty, that they and/or the customers must pay, then they (Lippert) will reimburse. This was after the complaints were filed, so appears "punitive" in nature to say the very least! ONWARD and UPWARD!
