When my wife and I did are walkthrough on our 2015 28DBUD last spring, the technician actually told us they fill them with nitrogen, but is a ploy, he said just use air, don't pay for nitrogen if they need it.

If it provides you with a tad bit more "peace of mind" then it is money well spent.

I would lose green ones in the grass! Black looks like a bug so I can find those!

I guess I will add my opinion to the mix. I have a FR3 28DS. I use shop air in my tires. I also own a TBM 700 aircraft, a single engine turbo prop. I regularly fly at 28,000 feet. I am required to use nitrogen in the tires. Not for stability, not for pressure consistency, not for temperature differences. The reason is fire protection. Nitrogen is an inert gas. So if the brake caliper catches fire and pops the tire it will not feed the flames. Same in any aircraft from a 747 to a Cessna.

Cars, trucks etc - nitrogen is a gimmick, add on after sale way of extracting $ from people. If you want dry air use a coalescing filter on your compressed air. Checking your pressures weekly will do more for you and your expensive tires than using nitrogen will. I check my tire pressures before every flight, you should too.

Ok, not being smart... But then why not use air.. It is also inert..
