Oil Change Ramp for tire change???

Putting aside jacks and all the roll on jacking aids, has anyone used an oil change ramp for changing a TT tire alongside the road.

I have a pair I used to change the oil in my TV that are a reinforced polymer and more than strong enough. Also nice and light compared to metal ramps.

Since I have room in the bed of my TV I am considering carrying one in case I do have to change a tire but want to know if anyone else has used one of these. Plenty of lift, wide enough for a 285mm Section Width truck tire. Can back on or pull on, depending on the position of the flat tire. I can get an 8" lift with the center of the lifted tire about 24" from toe of ramp. Axles are torsion type and on 28" centers. (loaded wheel to loaded wheel centers).

Pro's?

Con's?

Am only interested in experience with ramps. Trying to decide whether or not to take one with me or just stick with the jack.
