Opinion on tires

I'm fairly new to forum. Recently purchased Surveyor 201 RBS (21ft and 5500 max wt). It came with Castle Rock Radial ST 226. It has load range D and speed rating "L" for 75 MPH max. Max PSI is 65 lb. Planning trip to west coast this summer from S.C. Some have questioned the China tires. Some reports rate this particular tire as pretty good. One of the technicians at the local RV place said they were good tires. Anyone know any thing about these ? Have had camper 4 months and been on 4 local trips. The tires have remained at 65 lbs this entire time.

Now that is laugh worthy... does he even OWN a trailer?

You are lucky as you have load range D tires...

many with campers similar to yours have load range C tires, and have moved up to D range tires for some safety margin

tires are a crap shoot...

READ THIS THREAD... http://www.forestriverforums.com/for...ml#post1831299

get yourself a TPMS ( many like the TST units) and help avoid a disastrous blow-out and trailer damage when you DO NOT REALIZE that a tire carcass is beating your trailer wheel wells and causing serious and costly damage to the trailer...

search here for "trailer damage tire failure" for more information

X2 with the TPMS Any tire will have problems if its not inflated properly. ST tires are designed to be run at the max pressure on the side wall (cold)
