power jack

i know this has been beat to death and i did do a search and i went through a ton of good threads but they were old.

what is the best power jack on the market?

my thoughts are to go with Barker's Deluxe Hi-Power 3500 lb. Jack but we usually just haul the camper to the lake and park it and maybe 2-4 trips through out the year so should i go with something a little cheaper?

i know you get what you pay for and i only want to do this once. Thank you for the help

Made my own using the crank jack that came with the trailer, took crank off bought a bolt drilled a hole in it then put it where hand crank was and put the roll pin in the drilled hole. Then I use the drill that I put the stabilizer jacks down with. If something goes wrong with drill I have a ratchet that I can use . Always carry a couple of extra roll pins. Cost of this one less than a dollar, since I already had drill.

The bolt replaces the hand crank in the original jack.
Bought a 3/4 inch x 3 inch bolt drilled a hole in the shank to receive the roll pin that drives the jacks gear. You then use your drill and 3/4 inch nut driver to make the jack go up and down. On my old trailer I could use a 3/8 inch 18v rechargeable drill on my v lite I needed a little more kick so I got a 1/2 inch low speed high torque corded drill from Harbor freight.
After buying the drill total cost was $ 51 and I use that drill for all the jacks. Originally had planned on using the drill I had like on our old unit .

Can you take a picture? I've never seen a tongue jack with a 3/4" dia shaft for the horizontal gear. If you are using a 3/4" socket, then the bolt would be 1/2" dia.

Thanks, was confused when you said 3/4 x 3". Doesn't take much to confuse this old man.

I have a Husky HB3000 that I've had for 3 years and I've had no problems at all with it.
