The bolt replaces the hand crank in the original jack.
Bought a 3/4 inch x 3 inch bolt drilled a hole in the shank to receive the roll pin that drives the jacks gear. You then use your drill and 3/4 inch nut driver to make the jack go up and down. On my old trailer I could use a 3/8 inch 18v rechargeable drill on my v lite I needed a little more kick so I got a 1/2 inch low speed high torque corded drill from Harbor freight.
After buying the drill total cost was $ 51 and I use that drill for all the jacks. Originally had planned on using the drill I had like on our old unit .
