Power tongue jack stuck

I'm at a campsite right now and my 3,500 power tongue jack won't lower on my 2014 rockwood a122bh. It's stuck so I can't get the trailer off my truck. Any ideas???

Could be a blown fuse for the jack, a bum switch or broken gears. Hard to tell.

Do you have a manual crank?

Not sure what you mean by stuck. Do you have a hand crank for the tongue that you can try? Other than that, maybe some WD-40 if you or a fellow camper has some.

I tried the manual crank but it won't turn. The unit is brand new and installed last week by the Forest River techs in Indiana.

If you can pull the cover, you might find something wedged in the gears.

Hate to point out the obvious but it the jack pad stuck because your chains are in the way? Because it looks like it in your pic. And I ask not just because of the pic, but because my wife has done that before and blew a fuse.

I've had this happen a few times. The first time had me scratching me head for a bit trying to figure out why the jack was laboring. Eventually noticed that the chains were catching the pin for the foot plate when extending the jack.

Another duh! is leaving the rear jackstands down and then trying to raise the front of the trailer with the power jack to put on the weight distribution bar chains. Ask me how I know. Bad for the jackstands and the jack!

Yes, every jack I've had has come with a manual crank. Usually, there is a plug or a screwed lid on top that can be taken off for access. Here's an illustration of my current Barker jack.

They all have a manual way to lower the jack. Most use the same 3/4 socket that is used to drop your stabilizers. There is either a rubber plug or like Dan's a screw on cap the you undo to expose the drive nut. Turn it clockwise to drop the jack.

Been there done that, oh I forgot to blame it on the grandkids. Fortunately didn't do any damage.

Rather than post another new thread, I am going to jump in here. We picked up our 2014roo23ikss yesterday. Trying to get out to camp and the jack motor is stuck. Looking everywhere for suggestions. 4 hours from the dealer. Still in the driveway. Not sure how to I'd the motor. Worried the angle of the roo and the drive and the jack and the hitch may have forced too much weight onto the motor.
