Question question about brakes

Hello to all,
I just recently returned home from the FROG rally in Indiana and my subsequent trip to the west. I have a 34SATS Cedar Creek. I pull it with a 2009 Silverado with a duramax diesel. Before leaving on our summer trip I took our trailer to an RV dealer to have the bearings packed and the brakes checked. Normally I do this myself, but arthritis has kind of slowed me down.
Before I left the dealers, I checked my brakes and had almost no trailer brakes. They brought out their silver box and assured me that the brakes were set to specifications. They told me that there was a problem with my integrated brake system on my truck. As I could hear my trailer brakes working when standing next to them, I highly doubted that.
After towing my trailer through the Rockies and Cascades, I had an RV repairman come out to my lot in Kelso, Washington to look at my brakes. He jacked my trailer up and adjusted my brakes out at least ten pulls on the adjuster on every wheel. He then brought out his little silver box to check out the truck and it also showed no brake signal going to the trailer.
I could hear the brakes working and checked all of the fuses going to the trailer breaking system. All were ok. The brakes were fine on the way home, except I suspect that my truck brakes are showing some wear after towing my trailer through two mountain ranges with no trailer brakes. Am I missing something???
