It's interesting that the brake controller wired wrong would allow one side to work properly and the other to not.

Can you tell us how it was wired wrong?

I think he was talking internal wiring in the controller.

Path of least resistance, enough power to one side, not enough power left for the other side.

Long story short my nephew owns mechanical shop in Florida talked with him about my problem he ran it thru his computer that diagnosis problems and came up with in 2011 dodge rams affected over 50,000 that had wire issues when people tried to hook up trailers to them.the controllers at that time were installed after trucks were shipped to dealers the instructions for controllers were wrong wiring diagrams. I checked with dealer this am and they confirmed my nephews claim.. I had my neighbor stop this am we put his 2013 Chevy up to my trailer and bingo brakes worked fine . 2weeks ago had my truck in dodge dealer to check it over and at that time they found that controller was never activated so they activated thru computer. And never gave second thought that it was one of 50,000 with that problem. So they didn't check voltage at receptical. Which I think would have saved me a lot of work ,,,,, but are willing to repair it for me again thank you for all your help........
