Changed trucks so I had to raise the 5th. Not a hard job, took me five hours, I did the job alone. The hardest part was breaking loose the old nuts and bolts and torquing the new ones to the 130 ft pound spec, not easy for this 69 yr old. One drum had grease on the outside, next will be pulling all drums, checking bearings, brakes and spindles and installing new grease seals all the way around. Think I'll hand pack the bearings this time (old school) and not use the EZ lube zerks. Wish the weather would cool some.
Do the spacers sit up against the frame or are they supported only by the horizontal bolts??
DO you have dexter or alko axles?
I have a 2010 with alko (assuming as there were alko booklets with it) and want to lift it as well to put larger tires on....
