Rear power stabilizer not retracting

Trying for an early start from our Wyoming campground. Front stabilizers retracted just fine. Rear stabilizers do not respond to switch. No click no nothing. Oddly the switch will work in the extend position.
I may have to resort to using the manual crank.
Do I need to disconnect the electric motor first?
Any ideas appreciated. TIA.

What is your rig? Is there by chance excess load on them? Say from raising tongue jack before raising rear stabs? You ask, hmmm, why would he ask this? Experience. LOL. Been there done that. Trying lowering your tongue jack until the rear stab feet are off the ground. See if that helps.

Got them up

Well, I found the crank and tried out a spin and found the jacks retracted quite easily. The switch works in the extend but not the retract. So it may be the switch. Anyway, we are heading out. Not the best way to start a 4 week trip but it could be way worse. I will be lookin for a RV store on the way and will try to get my hands on a replacement switch.
Still would like input if anyone has replaced that switch before. Or has any other ideas.

TIA

TT is the one in my signature. It occurred to me that it might be an overload situation of some kind. Problem with your suggestion is that I did not unhook from my truck for the overnight and to raise it off the hitch would not be possible with the stabilizers extended. So for now we're back on the road.
I'll look into it this afternoon in Missoula.

Thanks for your reply.

His signature shows just fine.

What are you using to view the forum?
The mobile app doesn't show signatures, you have to hunt for it.

EDIT:
I do notice one of your posts in this thread doesn't have a signature so I'm guessing you are using two different platforms to view FRF.

I also suspect you don't have a signature set up on your mobile platform.

Both the front landing gear and rear stabilizer switches are easily replaced. Be sure to mark down the wire color and placements.

Yup, had to replace both of mine after about 2 years. Not as easy to find as you might think, but check with any large RV supply dealership and they should have a replacement. I took a quick photo of the wiring before removing the switch and taking it with me. Glad I did because there are a lot of switches with just a little bit different dimensions.

I had to replace my rear switch after one year which was covered under warranty. Oddly enough, the remote worked but not the hardwired switch. Finding the issue and replacing the switch gave me a good lesson on trailer wiring (DC/fuses/remote add-ons/etc). Since I bought the trailer from away (I live in Maine but purchased in Vermont), FR sent me the replacement switch. Fairly easy to replace. Good luck and have fun camping!

Had similar issues with rear stab jacks on my 2011 Flagstaff. If I did run jacks out then add more weight by raising tounge, the jacks would not retract after lowering the tounge. Solution that worked for me was to start Manuel retraction by a couple of turns, then electric would fully retract the jacks. Seemed strange but the procedure did work, was not looking to manually retraction every time I broke camp. Lots of luck, thiese minor issues can be a pita to resolve!

I had both of mine replaced under warranty. They worked with the remote, but not the outside switch. The service rep. said that the factory put on switches that were not water tight. Not unusual for the to fail. Replaced with different kind. Worked fine ever since.

iPhone app. Sometimes I paste it in. Signature is setup but probably doesn't auto show on replies. No biggie.
