Scissor jacks

My question is this for the forum. If the scissor jack levelers are only for stabilization, why at the camping stores does it state on the retail box they can be used as levelers. I assumed you could use them for minor leveling, nothing drastic. Maybe 1/4 to 1/2 inch. Just need some clarification before I screw something up. Thanks

Minor leveling of 1/4-1/2 or a little more is just fine. Major leveling use boards or blocks. Just don't use the scissor jacks to lift the unit so far that something will get skewed or bent. Don't use the scissor jacks as a tire Jack to lift the axles and tires off the ground (unless your desperate) as the distortion could do bad things.....
