I had one of the original BAL-x come loose on me once. Here's what I found... Backed trailer onto an downward facing slope. installed the BAL-x tightened up tight. Unhooked and leveled the camper. I couldn't stay hooked up as I had to really lower the camper to get level. Anyway, I put down the corner stabilizers and when I went around to tweak them, Some were shifted over, on the pads. I found the one BAL-X loose and the camper shifting that way. I figured out that my configuration when backing into the site, positioned the triangle thingies between the leaf springs to be biased to the rear of the camper. But when I significantly lowered the front end, the triangle thingies shifted towards neutral, thereby slightly widening the distance between the wheels. Hence loosening the BAL-X.
