Shocks

I have a 08 Cedar Creek 362 BSA. After a recent blowout I found that one of the shocks was out of the mounting bracket on the frame and had been for a while. I have been trying to find a set but haven't had any luck. I am taking it Thursday to get new tires on it and wanted to get the shocks at the same time. Today I found a set but they will not be here in time for Thursday and they are about $25 each.

The question I have is do I really need the shocks? I have been pulling it for quite a while with the one loose and haven't noticed any issues. If I don't need them it will save me another trip to the shop and some money. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
