Some Questions

Looking for oft found insight on this great forum. Just returned after a 3000 mile junket through northwestern USA and Southwestern Canada. Shortly after hitting the road with Rockwood 2304s TT, noticed one wheel was warmish. Stopped at a Les Schwab and had bearings parked and new seals. After a few miles, noticed grease seepage on wheels. It was very hot, but I was still concerned. Called another Les Schwab and they assured me grease seepage after packing was quite normal. I proceeded for the rest of the trip without incident. However after cleaning the wheels several times, I am still getting grease seepage from two of the wheels. Each is from a different axle, so don't think there is a problem with tracking, as the tire wear is normal. Also no heating. Can anybody give me a suggestion.

Additionally, TV is a Chevy Trailblazer with I6 300 HP and 4:42 rear end. I am well under max towing weight, recently changed tranny oil with tranny cooler, and synthetic oil in engine. We traversed many very high passes in excess of 5000'. TV did the job, although down to first gear for long climbs. I took care to stay under 4000 RPM, and climbs were made at around 30 MPH. After a particular harrowing day when we did three of these passes, I checked tranny oil. It is clear with no smell. I have done these climbs in the past with a 3/4 ton GMC with 373 rear end and 454 cu in V8. This powerful truck also was down to first gear often, but not quite as frequently as the TB. Was pulling a much bigger fifth witih the truck. Would appreciate any observations readers may have on both these issues.
